I’m Alex, a student currently pursuing dual degrees in Computer Science and Business Technology at the University of Miami. I was born in Kazakhstan to Korean and Ukrainian parents and moved to the United States at age six, growing up in Miami.

My passion for creative work began in middle school, when I discovered the work of directors like Spike Jonze, Wes Anderson, Sofia Coppola, and David Fincher. I explored this love by creating promotional films for Southwood Middle School, finding a medium that allowed me to channel both creativity and storytelling.

In high school, I founded Volunteering Miami, a nonprofit platform that connected volunteers with local organizations. At the University of Miami, I co-founded Bonsai Applied Computations Group, an interdisciplinary student-led initiative that collaborates with researchers and startups to develop tools in areas like neuroscience, finance, and law.

I’ve also gained hands-on experience through internships in cybersecurity at Suridata in Tel Aviv and quantitative research at Little Engine in Coral Gables. My academic and project work reflect my growing interest in how technology and data-driven approaches can solve complex, interdisciplinary challenges.

I’m driven by a passion for bridging the gap between the sciences and the humanities, using technology to create solutions that are both elegant and practical. I thrive in collaborative environments, working with artists, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to transform complex ideas into simple, impactful products. My work focuses on applying these principles to build tools and processes that foster innovation and make a meaningful impact across disciplines.
